Angela Bassett will soon take on the impossible.
The actress is joining Tom Cruise in Mission: Impossible 6, which will also star Henry Cavill, Rebecca Ferguson and Alec Baldwin.
Director Christopher McQuarrie is returning for the sixth installment of the franchise, which is set to hit theaters July 27, 2018.
The Bad Robot Productions and Paramount feature is currently in production, boasting J.J. Abrams as a producer.
Bassett is a regular on Ryan Murphy’s anthology series America Horror Story and will work with the prolific TV producer on the upcoming procedural drama 911. She will next be seen on the big screen in Ryan Coogler’s Marvel superhero movie Black Panther, which is set to opens in February.
Bassett is repped by Gersh, Lighthouse and Fox Rothschild.
