The trailer for Morgan Spurlock‘s documentary Comic-Con Episode IV: A Fan’s Hope, chronicling the annual San Diego event, has hit the web.
Shot at Comic-Con in 2010, the film — also being produced by Joss Whedon and Stan Lee — gives a first-hand glimpse into the fan-driven event that puts thousands of fans of comic books, graphic novels and “geeky” TV shows/movies at the forefront.
For those who descend onto downtown San Diego every July, it’s a must-see event; for others, Comic-Con represents another world.
Interviews with Eli Roth, Seth Rogen, Kevin Smith (a regular at the Con), collectors, comic fans, artists/designers are also featured in the feature film.
Wrekin Hill Entertainment and National Entertainment Collectibles Association (NECA) have also announced tour dates touting the film and a theatrical/VOD day-and-date release on Friday, April 6.
The tour currently consists of 10 dates, kicking off April 5 in Atlanta and wrapping up (at the moment) on April 22 in Detroit.

April 19 – Cincinnati, Taft Theatre
April 20 – Chicago, Rosemont Theatre
April 22 – Detroit, Fillmore Detroit
