Stars and the media were forced to evacuate the red carpet at Sunday’s MTV Movie & TV Awards due to inclement weather.
With no cover provided, those on the red carpet outside Los Angeles’ Shrine Auditorium were pelted with rain, and then hail. Many were relocated to a parking garage to take cover as the remainder of MTV’s preshow appeared to move indoors. (Hail, of course, is not a common sight in Los Angeles.)

The preshow also featured performances from several artists, some of whom braved the weather and played on as scheduled.
