Bill Schrank, a music executive who coordinated soundtracks at such studios as Warner Bros., Paramount, Disney and Columbia Pictures, died Dec. 12 of complications from a stroke in Los Angeles. He was 60.
During his 30 years in the music business, Schrank worked on some of the more memorable soundtracks, including those for The Bodyguard, The Big Chill, Ghostbusters, Against All Odds, The Karate Kid and Stand by Me.
A native of Albuquerque, N.M., Schrank attended the University of New Mexico.
Schrank is survived by his partner of 35 years, music executive Paul Cooper. A memorial service will be announced.
