Neal McDonough is in final negotiations to play the villain in Sony’s Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2.
Andy Fickman is directing the sequel to the 2009 movie, which brings back Kevin James as the milquetoast security guard Paul Blart, found here attending a security guard expo in Las Vegas. Casino security mocks him, but he gets the last laugh when he helps them take on art thieves.

Molly Shannon and Nick Turturro are among those already cast in the comedy, which will shoot in April.
McDonough will play the mastermind of the elaborate heist.
Adam Sandler’s Happy Madison and Todd Garner’s Broken Road Productions are producing.
McDonough is coming off a starring role in TNTs short-lived crime series Mob City, which was created by Frank Darabont. He is repped by Paradigm, Medavoy Management and Bloom Hergott.
