AP Images/InvisionLamorne Morris, who stars with Zooey Deschanel on Fox’s New Girl, has joined the cast of Barbershop 3.
The movie is shooting in Atlanta with Malcolm Lee in the director’s chair.
The roll call already includes Ice Cube, Regina Hall, Eve, Nicki Minaj, and Anthony Anderson among others in a story that sees the employees and friends of a local barbershop tackle violence in a Chicago neighborhood.
Morris will play a neurotic college student who likes to dress in pastel colors and assumes he’s dating a fellow student, unaware that the girl (among many others) actually thinks he’s gay.
This is the first major film role for who has appeared as Winston Bishop for the last five seasons on New Girl, the comedy which also stars Jake Johnson and Max Greenfield.
He is repped by Gersh, Principato Young, and Myman Greenspan.
