This year’s San Diego Comic-Con is so big, there won’t even be a resale.
That’s bad news for those still looking to pick up a pass. The event’s resale traditionally allows for the purchase of reserved badges that went unsold for whatever reason.
Comic-Con International revealed the news Thursday via a blog post, which explained that “due to an extremely low rate of refunds and cancellations this year,” the organization would be unable to hold the expected resale in June.

It’s possible that the low return rate for passes this year is connected to the decision announced in January to do away with the option of purchasing passes to the entire event, offering only single-day badges instead for the 2014 event.
This year’s San Diego Comic-Con begins with the traditional “preview night” on July 23, with the official show running from July 24 through July 27 at the San Diego Convention Center.
