Oliver Stone will be honored with the Lifetime Vision Award at the 2016 Sun Valley Film Festival.
The Oscar-winning director is known for his decade-spanning work that includes Wall Street, Platoon and Natural Born Killers. Oliver is currently working on Snowden, which is set to star Joseph Gordon-Levitt as the CIA whistleblower Edward Snowden.
“We’re honored to have industry visionaries like Oliver and Clint be part of our new festival. Our focus on quality content and unique programming is definitely making an impact,” said the festival’s executive director Teddy Grennan.
Last year’s honoree was Clint Eastwood.
Stone will also be participating in festival’s free Coffee Talks series, where he will answer questions about his career and filmmaking experience.
The Sun Valley Film Festival runs March 2 to 6 in Sun Valley, Idaho.
