CalArts Art Benefit & Auction

ICON MANN Pre-Oscar POWER 50 Dinner
The annual dinner at the Peninsula Hotel will fete the top 50 Black Men impacting Philanthropy, including Lee Daniels, Ryan Coogler, Forest Whitaker and more.
Vanity Fair and Fiat Toast “Young Hollywood”
The event will take place at No Vacancy and be hosted by Chris Evans. It will support the Concord Youth Theatre, a nonprofit educational organization.

7th Annual Toscars
The live event at the Egyptian Theatre, which parodies the Oscars (teams have 3 weeks to create spoofs of the best feature nominees), benefits UKares Foundation charity and is hosted by Glee’s Alex Newell.
Vanity Fair, Leon Max, and Benedikt Taschen Present The Annie Leibovitz Book Launch
The party at the Chateau Marmont will honor Annie Leibovitz’s new limited-edition, sumo-size Taschen book, Annie Leibovitz.
LoveGold Cocktail Party
Nominee Lupita Nyong’o will be feted at the Chateau Marmont by the jewelry line and guests such as Monica Potter and Liz Goldwyn.

Essence Magazine’s Black Women in Hollywood Luncheon
This luncheon takes place at the Beverly Hills Hotel. The honorees are Lupita Nyong’o (Best Breakthrough Performance); Academy of Motion Pictures Arts & Sciences president Cheryl Boone Isaacs (Trailblazer Award) and filmmaker Ava DuVernay (Visionary Award).

The 7th annual event, hosted by Paul Haggis and sponsored by Bovet watches, will take place at the Sunset Tower Hotel and support Haggis’ charity Artist for Peace and Justice (which seeks to provide education and healthcare to communities in Haiti). Expected guests include Jon Hamm, Jared Leto, and Olivia Wilde.
Unite for Humanity 2014
The event, in support of unite4:good, a global initiative to promote acts of kindness, will take place on the Sony Pictures lot. The night will include an appearance by former president Bill Clinton, an awards presentation and an after-party with musical entertainment by Will.i.am and others.
Oscar Wilde: Honoring the Irish in Film Event.
The party at J.J. Abrams‘ Bad Robot in Santa Monica will honor Chad Hurley and Conan O’Brien. Michael Burns will emcee and Joel McHale will present.
Canadian Filmmakers Event
Norman Jewison is the honorary chair for an event at L’Ermitage that honors Canadian filmmakers and Oscar nominees in the documentary and technical categories.

Dom Pérignon will host a luncheon honoring director Morgan Neville and his Oscar nominated film at the Chateau Marmont.

The annual viewing party benefiting AIDS Project Los Angeles will take place at the Abbey in West Hollywood.

The magazine’s longtime party will move from the Sunset Tower to a larger space — a parking lot on the south side of West Hollywood’s Sunset Plaza offering sweeping views of the city. The glittering event’s first move since 2009 is said to be motivated by the need for a larger space, as the guest list is known to soar to over 1,000 people.
The Elton John AIDS Foundation Viewing Party
The charity’s annual benefit — sponsored by MAC and Audi — will take place at West Hollywood Park. Ed Sheeran will perform, Gordon Ramsay will create the menu, and Patron tequila will be serving exclusive cocktails.
