Alexander Payne, Nat Faxon & Jim Rash and Kaui Hart Hemmings, who wrote the book upon which the film is based, took the stage to accept their reward. All four then proceeded to stand like Jolie did when she stood on the Oscar stage minutes before.
Jolie stood in a similar manner as she did on the red carpet earlier in the evening, with one leg jutted out from the very high slit in her her Atelier Versace black velvet strapless gown.

It was an awkward pose to assume, and unusual for anyone to strike on the Oscar stage. After the guys all thrust their legs out in the same fashion – and angle – that Jolie did, they gave their acceptance speeches and walked offstage. The camera cut back to Angelina, whose eyes looked a bit moist, as if she were about to break into tears at the mockery.
When Oscar-winning screenwriters mock an up-and-coming screenwriter on the Oscar stage, that’s gotta hurt. Our advice: Angie, save the fashion poses for the red carpet.
Was this the George Clooney‘s long promised Oscar prank on Brad Pitt? Kinda doubt it.
