The Oscars may have been a big night for film, but recent stats from Spotify prove that music also took center stage.
Lady Gaga‘s song tribute for The Sound of Music‘s 50th anniversary, as well as Selma‘s Oscar-winning song “Glory” performed by Common and John Legend, both saw major post-show jumps on the streaming platform.

Of the four songs Gaga performed in her Sound of Music medley, it was her first — “The Hills Are Alive” — that had the biggest jump at 447 percent.
Additionally, streams of original song winner “Glory” increased 240 percent after Common’s and Legend’s moving performance and passionate acceptance speeches for the best original song award.
