The Academy Awards are just days away. Voting has closed and final predictions have been made. And while we won’t know how the Academy voted until Sunday, the critics have spoken, with Gravity topping the reviews.
According to an analysis from ListenFirst Media, the film received a 98 percent positive rating, when taking into account reviews from Rotten Tomatoes and Metacritic.
EARLIER: Brutally Honest Oscar Ballot No. 1
The Alfonso Cuaron space drama recently edged ahead of the second-best reviewed film, 12 Years a Slave (97.5), which had the highest scores the day nominations were announced. 12 Years is followed by David O. Russell‘s American Hustle (93.0) and Dallas Buyers Club (92.0) to round out the top five.
At the bottom? Martin Scorsese‘s The Wolf of Wall Street, which received a 72.5 rating. But the filmmakers should take comfort — the movie is by far the most popular of the best picture nominees when it comes to Twitter followers and Facebook fans, boasting a combined 967,035 across the social media platforms. Its closest competitor, Gravity, has 400,000 fewer, with 565,931 fans across Facebook and Twitter.
