Snoop Dogg DJ’d last year. Need we say more?
The Hollywood Reporter celebrates this year’s Oscar hopefuls at its annual Nominees Night celebration on Monday. Following the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences nominees luncheon taking place earlier in the day, THR’s soiree will be held at Wolfgang Puck‘s Spago, with Oscar nominee Karen O performing and Cee Lo Green set to deejay.
Additionally, THR’s awards analyst Scott Feinberg will be conducting interviews for video, print and online. A full red carpet will feature numerous worldwide press outlets.
“The Hollywood Reporter’s Nominees Night is our way of celebrating the dedication and talent of the people who inspire audiences around the world,” said Janice Min, co-president/chief creative officer of the Entertainment Group of Guggenheim Media. “With Wolfgang Puck and the Spago team preparing a party like no other, this year’s event will be one to remember.”
Already one of the buzziest events of awards season, The Hollywood Reporter’s Nominees Night is an exceptional and intimate evening for a highly select clutch of talent and executives. Last year’s event drew Jennifer Lawrence, Ben Affleck, Steven Spielberg, Jessica Chastain, Naomi Watts, David O. Russell, Jeffrey Katzenberg and Amy Adams, with Snoop Dogg as DJ (and with Netflix’s Ted Sarandos joining him behind the turntables at one point in the evening).
Of last year’s event, The New York Times wrote that “a swarm of A-list stars, that most finicky of Tinseltown species, had descended to walk the red carpet.”
“As one of the premier awards season event, Nominees Night lets us show our appreciation for this incredible industry, and the talented people who run it, in a truly glamorous way,” THR publisher Lynne Segall said.

Entertainment at the event will also be provided by musician and global fashion boldface DJ Kiss.
The celebration begins at 7 p.m. and is sponsored by Cadillac, Bing, PANDORA Jewelry, Delta Air Lines, Qua, and Zenith Watches. Guests are invited to submit their pick for best picture at the special onsite voting station, hosted by Bing.
Cadillac, the official vehicle of Nominees Night, will provide car service for VIP guests, and will also present the dessert station inside the event. Guests will receive Tumi amenity kits as party gifts.
