Henry Thomas and Lulu Wilson have signed on to Ouija 2, the sequel to the hit film inspired by the iconic board game.
The actors join previously announced stars Annalise Basso and Elizabeth Reaser in the Universal Pictures, Platinum Dunes, Blumhouse Productions and Hasbro project.
Mike Flanagan will direct and write the screenplay alongside Jeff Howard, as The Hollywood Reporter exclusively reported.
Universal, Blumhouse, Platinum Dunes and Hasbro’s Ouija 2, set for release on Oct. 21, 2016, will again revolve around the ancient spirit board that was at the center of the first film. Ouija, which was made through the Blumhouse microbudget template for $5 million, scared up a huge $102.5 million worldwide after opening in October 2014.
Michael Bay, Brad Fuller and Andrew Form are producing for Platinum Dunes while Jason Blum will produce for Blumhouse Productions and Brian Goldner and Stephen Davis from Hasbro. Intrepid Pictures’ Trevor Macy, Flanagan’s frequent collaborator, will also join the film in a producer capacity. Universal’s director of development Sara Scott will oversee for the studio.

He’s also starred on TV Series Betrayal and mini-series Sons of Liberty. He’s repped by Gersh, Brillstein Entertainment and Bloom Hergott.
Wilson made her film debut in Deliver Us From Evil and was a series regular on CBS’s The Millers. She can been seen on Comedy Central’s Inside Amy Schumer and TV Land’s upcoming series Teachers. She is repped by Paradigm and Marilyn Zitner.
