Baywatch actress Pamela Anderson has joined the cast for the Canadian indie The People Garden, by writer-director Nadia Litz.
Anderson is to play Signe, a former 1990s sex icon. The People Garden, which stars the previously announced Dree Hemingway as a a woman in Japan searching for her missing rock star boyfriend, has also added Francois Arnaud, James Le Gros, Liane Balaban and Jai West to its ensemble cast.

Anderson, who comes from Vancouver Island, where The People Garden is currently shooting, also guest-starred in the Canadian comedy Package Deal.
The drama will move to Sudbury, Ontario, in early 2015 for additional shooting. Litz’s script for The People Garden won the audience prize at the 2013 Toronto Film Festival’s inaugural Screenwriting Lab.
Mark Gingras and Lon Molnar are executive producing The People Garden, with Daniel Bekerman, Coral Aiken and Jonathan Bronfman producing.
