Joy Bryant is in talks to star in Screen Gems’ remake of About Last Night.
Steve Pink is directing the movie, which is an adaptation of David Mamet’s 1974 play Sexual Perversity in Chicago and a remake of the 1986 Edward Zwick film that starred Rob Lowe and Demi Moore.
Leslye Headland wrote the new script, which concerns a man and woman who enter into a relationship, but their friends get in the way. Bryant will play the Moore role.
Zoe Saldana was the initial choice but passed.
Bryant is one of the stars of NBC’s Parenthood and appears in the Dax Shepard comedy Hit and Run.
