Mike Huckabee likes to tell jokes on Twitter and has been mocked mercilessly for them, so Jimmy Kimmel had a solution: enlist a professional comedian to help him out.
“Every day he writes jokes, but like a lot of great comedy voices, not everyone gets it,” said Kimmel of the former Arkansas governor on Thursday’s Jimmy Kimmel Live!. Kimmel pointed out that Huckabee recently stated, “I tweet for my amusement and your amazement. To haters trolls and humorless people: you really shouldn’t follow me. It’s way over your head.“
“Maybe it is over our heads,” responded Kimmel. “Maybe these jokes are great. Maybe what Mike Huckabee needs is a stronger presentation.”
Enter Patton Oswalt in front of a brick wall that says “Yuck Yuckabees.”
The comedian started reciting Huckabee’s jokes from his Twitter feed, introducing them with statements like “Traveling’s weird” and “You guys like music?”

Suffice to say, the jokes fell hilariously flat. Oswalt ended with a Hillary Clinton visual and a hot dog joke before backing away from the stage quietly.
“Good material just works,” laughed Kimmel.
On Friday morning, Huckabee replied to the bit on Twitter.
“Got ‘Kimmelled‘ for my tweets-so distraught I cried like Schumer & I’ll have to take 1/2 a baby aspirin to sleep,” he tweeted, along with an article of Oswalt’s performance.
