TORONTO – The Fast and Furious franchise co-star Paul Walker will fittingly narrate the new Imax 3D film Air Racers, about the Reno National Championship air races.
Air Racers 3D, to hit theaters in April, will take Imax viewers into Nevada’s Valley of Speed to experience up close the fast-paced air show.
“His passion for racing and high-adrenaline sports makes him a perfect fit for this celebration of aviation,” Francois Mantello, CEO of 3D Entertainment Distribution, who produced Air Racers 3D with Pretend Entertainment, in association with Stereoscope, said of Walker on board as a narrator.
The documentary is directed by Christian Fry and Jean-Jacques Mantello, with the screenplay penned by Fry and Rick Dowlearn.
The main 3D camera work was done during the 2009 and 2010 Reno National Championship Air Races, and was completed in June 2011.
Producer credits belong to Fry and Raul Leckie, with Mantello, John Constantine and Jeffery Pierce serving as executive producers.
