Fans of large breasts, killer fish and excessive gore got an apertif Wednesday for what promises to be a veritable buffet of prurient fun via the official trailer for Piranha 3DD, the upcoming sequel to 2010’s Piranha 3D.

The clip doesn’t skimp on showing what potential viewers are expecting, including a variety of scantily-clad young women, swarms of prehistoric piranha, and a bevy of stunt casting to keep proceedings as campy as possible. Directed by John Gulager (Feast), the film takes place a year after the events of Piranha 3D, on the eve of the opening of a waterpark named Big Wet. Ving Rhames reprises his role as Deputy Fallon, who has overcome the injuries he sustained during the first film with the help of some unconventional handicapped apparatus – apparently including machine guns that fit onto the stumps of his legs.
Danielle Pannabaker (Friday the 13th) takes over starring duties from the film’s female star, Jessica Szohr, and she’s joined by Paul Scheer, Gary Busey, David Koechner, Chris Zylka, Clu Gulager, Katrina Bowden, and David Hasselhoff, who sends up his public persona by making an appearance as his Baywatch character Mitch Buchannon. Christopher Lloyd also returns from the first film as the appropriately unhinged Mr. Goodman.
Check out the clip below, which is definitely not for sensitive eyes – and probably not for mature ones, either. Piranha 3DD opens nationwide later in 2012.
