Things are looking grim for captain Jack.
The first teaser trailer for Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales debuted during Sunday’s Fear the Walking Dead — and it showcases Javier Bardem’s ghostly villain, Captain Salazar, who is on the hunt for Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) and has a message for the pirate: “Death will come straight for him.”
As for the star of the franchise, Depp is nowhere to be seen in the trailer (save for Sparrow’s image on a wanted poster).
The fifth installment of the Disney franchise also stars Orlando Bloom, Geoffrey Rush, Javier Bardem, Kaya Scodelario and Brenton Thwaites. The film is from co-directors Joachim Ronning and Espen Sandberg.
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales hits theaters May 26, 2017.
