Anna Camp has signed on to reprise her role as Aubrey Posen for Pitch Perfect 3, the third installment in Universal’s and Gold Circle Entertainment’s musical comedy franchise.
Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson also are returning to star in the film, which follows the a cappella singing group the Barden Bellas. Trish Sie will direct the film, which has a script by Kay Cannon, with the most recent draft written by Mike White.
Pitch Perfect 2 opened in May 2015 and had the highest-grossing movie-musical opening of all time, earning $287.5 million worldwide.
The third installment, set for release Dec. 22, 2017, by Universal, will be produced by Paul Brooks of Gold Circle Entertainment and Max Handelman and Elizabeth Banks of Brownstone Productions. Vice president of production Sara Scott will oversee the project for Universal.
Camp will next be seen in Amazon’s Good Girls Revolt and recently appeared in Woody Allen’s Cafe Society. She also guest-starred on season two of Netflix’s Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. She’s repped by UTA, Authentic Talent and Literary Management and Schreck Rose.
