Naomi Scott will suit up for the new Power Rangers movie.
Scott will take on the role of the Pink Ranger in the action film, which is directed by Project Almanac helmer Dean Israelite.
The announcement was made via the Power Rangers movie official Instagram account.

The English actress got her start in the Disney Chanel’s TV Movie Lemonade Mouth and in 2011 appeared in the short-lived Fox TV series Terra Nova.
Scott most recently appeared in Ridley Scott’s The Martian and can be see in the upcoming movieThe 33, the true story of 33 Chilean miners who survived 69 days trapped underground.
Power Rangers creator, HaimSaban, will produce the film that follows the group of teenagers who must harness their unique superpowers and use those powers as a color-coordinated team in order to save the world. Saban Brands’ head of development and production Brian Casentini and Cinderella producer Allison Shearmur will also produce the script, penned byX-Men: First Class scribes Ashley Miller and Zack Stentz.
Lionsgate’s Power Rangers movie is based on the ‘90sTV series Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, which first aired on Fox Kids using footage from the Japanese children’s show. Canadian actress Amy Jo Johnson played the Pink Ranger in the original TV series and two feature films.
Scott is repped by Station 3 and United Artists in the UK.
