TORONTO – Canadian newcomer Randy Quaid has made a recording of his “Star Whackers” song ahead of the debut of his docu-drama later this month in Vancouver.
Quaid and his wife, Evi Quaid, went to the Blue Frog Studios in White Rock, just north of the Canada-U.S. border, to record “Star Whackers” and the ballad “Will We Be Together Then?,” the Peace Arch News reported Thursday.
“They were great people. Really good to deal with and so positive – they loved White Rock. They often went across the street to order sushi. They enjoyed that,” Blue Frog’s Kelly Breaks told the local newspaper.
The recording session follows the Quaids making a movie on how they evaded apparent Hollywood assassins to get to Canada, to premiere at Vancouver’s Rio Theatre on April 22.
Randy Quaid in March performed his “Star Whackers” song at the Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver with his back-up band, The Fugitives.
The American actor has been given permission to stay in Canada because Evi Quaid received her Canadian citizenship card in February owing to her father being born here.
