Will a Back to the Future 2 hoverboard or a Luke Skywalker bionic hand soon be a part of our world?
The new digital series Technium will explore those and other movie-inspired technology questions, The Hollywood Reporter has learned exclusively. YouTuber Lana McKissack hosts the series, which premieres Thursday.
Below, see the first episode, which takes on the hoverboard question.
Next week’s episode will look at the bionic hand Luke Skywalker received after Darth Vader cut his off in Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back, while another upcoming episode will look at the technology shown in Tron.
Technium was created by Forge Apollo, a production company and channel within the Fullscreen network led by producer/director Gabe Michael (“Epic Rap Battles,” Nick Offerman‘s “Road to a Better Mustache“).
