Robert Levin is joining Screen Engine, the Los Angeles-based market research company, as its new president. Kevin Goetz, founder and CEO of the three-and-a-half year-old company, made the announcement Monday.
A studio veteran, Levin, who had been consulting with Screen Engine, served as president, worldwide marketing and distribution at MGM from 2000 to 2003. Previous to that he headed up marketing at Sony Pictures Entertainment from 1996 to 2000 and the Walt Disney Studios from 1985 to 1996. He was responsible for creating the marketing campaigns for such movies as The Lion King, Men in Black, Pretty Woman, Legally Blonde, Air Force One and Beauty and the Beast. Before moving to Los Angeles, he was an advertising agency senior management executive in Chicago. He currently serves as an adjunct professor in USC’s School of Cinematic Arts, Peter Stark Program.
