LONDON – Horror comedy Stitches, starring standup comedian Ross Noble, will be hitting U.K. movie theaters this fall.
The movie will land in cinemas after U.K. sales, finance and distribution outfit Kaleidoscope Entertainment and British distribution banner Signature Entertainment combined to snap up U.K. and Ireland rights to the title.

Directed by Conor McMahon (Dead Meat), Noble plays Stitches the clown who comes back from the dead to wreak revenge on a group of teenagers celebrating one of their group’s 16th birthday.
Kaleidoscope and Signature said a Hallowe’en 2012 theatrical release is being planned in the U.K.
The deal was inked by Kaleidoscope ceo Spencer Pollard, Signature’s managing director Marc Goldberg and Nicola Goelzhaeuser of MPI Media.
Pollard said: “Ross Noble has an excellent fan base in the U.K. and Ireland and with a Frightfest [festival] premiere as our launch pad, a healthy theatrical roll out in time for Halloween and the support of Ross himself during his very busy stand up comedy tour in Q4, we are excited by the film’s potential.”

The movie marks the first joint venture between Kaleidoscope and Signature.
Kaleidoscope also said it has secured all rights for six live stand up shows from pair Kevin Smith and Jason Mewes from Jay and Silent Bob Get Old, which were filmed in the U.K. and Ireland earlier this year.
The deal for the Smith and Mewes shows was sealed with Industrial Entertainment Releasing.
