Route One Entertainment and Lost City have come aboard to produce and finance The Shave alongside Chris and Eleanor Columbus of Maiden Voyage.
Thomas White and Miles Hubley wrote the thriller, about an LAPD officer recently exonerated in the murder of a high school honor student. He visits the boy’s father at his barbershop to tell him his side of the story while receiving a straight razor shave.
“It is a privilege to be collaborating with Chris and Eleanor on yet another exciting project and start working with our new friends from Lost City,” said Route One CEO Russell Levine. “This script is beautifully crafted and we look forward to bringing Thomas and Miles’ story to life.”
Along with the Columbuses and Levine, John Finemore, Mason Novick, and Michelle Knudsen are set to produce, with Chris Lytton and James Hoppe acting as executive producers. Elizabeth Grave and Sophia Dilley will co-produce the venture.
The Shave marks the second collaboration between Route One and Maiden Voyage, the first being Ellen Page‘s Tallulah, which is currently in post-production.
Route One recently financed the Kristen Stewart-Nicholas Hoult sci-fi drama Equals, which has been acquired by A24.
Lost City has several projects on their slate, including the comedy script One Night Stand, written and to be directed by Jason Mantzoukas.
