Rupert Murdoch and Jerry Hall are set to walk down the aisle this weekend, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.
The couple, who began dating six months ago and announced their engagement in January, will tie the knot at St Bride’s Church in London. Rev. Canon Dr. Alison Joyce will officiate. Murdoch’s sons, 21st Century Fox CEO James Murdoch and executive chairman Lachlan Murdoch, as well as his daughter Elisabeth Murdoch, will attend.
“It will be a service of prayer and blessing at which they will give thanks for their marriage and renew their marriage vows before God,” Joyce told People.
It’s the fourth marriage for the 84-year-old 21st Century Fox and News Corp executive co-chairman and the second for the 59-year-old model, best known for her longtime relationship with rocker Mick Jagger. The couple announced their engagement in the “Births, Marriages and Deaths” section of The Times, a newspaper owned by News Corp.
People reported that the ceremony will be a formality, as Murdoch and Hall are having the civil ceremony elsewhere beforehand.
St Bride’s Church holds a special significance for Murdoch. There is a memorial plaque to his late father, Sir Keith Murdoch, at the site. Murdoch also has been known occasionally to worship there.
