The Signal Sundance Film Still - H 2014
The Signal, a sci-fi thriller about three college students who take a dark road-trip detour, will hit theaters on June 13. Focus Features will expand the release on June 20, and again on June 27.
Directed by William Eubank, the film follows three college students on a road trip across the Southwest. They take a detour into an isolated area, where everything goes dark. When one of the students, Nic, regains consciousness, he is in a waking nightmare.
The Signal stars Brenton Thwaites, Olivia Cooke, Beau Knapp and Laurence Fishburne.
THR‘s review of the film, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival, described it as: “captivating for a long stretch, keeping viewers guessing about the nature of what has happened to these sympathetic youths.”
The film was produced by Brian Kavanaugh-Jones and Tyler Davidson and written by Eubank, Carlyle Eubank and David Frigerio.
The two wide releases on June 20 are Clint Eastwood‘s Jersey Boys and sequel Think Like a Man Too.
