Screenwriter Ralph Gaby Wilson died Monday in Pasadena after a long battle with throat cancer. He was 74.
Wilson wrote the feature comedy Summer Job (1989), co-wrote the CBS telefilm Outside Chance (1978) and wrote The Trial of Old Drum (2000), which starred Ron Perlman and Randy Travis and went straight to video.
A native of Kansas City, Kan., Wilson also worked in the advertising business and penned the 2012 novel Illegal Woman: A Gypsy Love Story.
Survivors include his wife Susan. A celebration of his life will take place in July.
