Director and writer Susan Walter’s A Little Something for Your Birthday has filled in the main casting roles, with Famke Janssen (Taken), Caitlin Fitzgerald (Masters of Sex) and Liza Lapira (Crazy Stupid Love) joining Sharon Stone, Tony Goldwyn and Ellen Burstyn, who were announced in September.
The coming-of-age comedy — which has now started production — sees Stone play a woman struggling to escape the clutches of her overbearing, co-dependent mother, played by Burstyn, while Goldwyn’s sexy, sophisticated attorney arrives on the scene to capture her heart.
Rob Carliner, Eric Brenner, Gary Preisler and Matthew Brady through his MRB Productions will produce, with Cinetel Films repping worldwide rights. Cinetel’s Stephen Gary and Jody Cipriano will introduce the project to buyers at the American Film Market in November.
Janssen is repped by ICM Partners and Brookside, and Fitzgerald is repped by ICM Partners, Anonymous and Peikoff Mahan.
