Cloud City, the setting of some of the most memorable moments in Star Wars lore, is getting the Lego treatment. And not just any Lego treatment, but the top-of-the-line Master Builder Series.
This fall, Lego is launching Betrayal at Cloud City, a 2,812-piece set costing $349.99 that will let brick fans re-enact or reimagine the goings-on in the floating city above the planet Bespin famously seen in The Empire Strikes Back.
The city is divided into four sections, each depicting scenes from the classic movie. Among the tableaus: the landing platform complete with Boba Fett’s Slave I ship; a dining room with seating for five minifigures; a garbage processing room with incinerator; a sensor balcony for epic Luke vs. Vader Lightsaber duels; a carbon freeze chamber with a function to “freeze” Han Solo in carbonite; an interrogation chamber and prison cell; and a secondary landing platform for the Twin-Pod Cloud Car.
The set also comes with an astounding 18 minifigures, several of which have new detailing, such as Leia’s red dress, Han’s Corellian blood stripe, and the cloud car pilots, among others.
Cloud City will measure over 6 inches (16 cm) high, 22 inches (58 cm) wide and 22 inches (56 cm) deep. The set, which has the 14-plus year designation, will hit Lego stores Oct. 1.
