The cast suits up in a series of four covers released Tuesday in celebration of both the upcoming movie and Star Wars’ 40th anniversary.
The covers were shot by famed photographer Annie Leibovitz, who has been photographing Star Wars casts for Vanity Fair since 1999’s Star Wars: Episode I — The Phantom Menace.
Perhaps the most stirring cover features the late Carrie Fisher as General Leia Organa, while another cover shows the bad guys of the First Order, including the first photo of Captain Phasma (Gwendoline Christie) without her helmet.
Good guys Poe (Oscar Isaac), Finn (John Boyega), BB-8 and newcomer Rose (Kelly Marie Tran) also get their own cover, as do Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) and Rey (Daisy Ridley).
Vanity Fair will be revealing more on Wednesday. And Heat Vision has a few special surprises in store for Thursday’s big 40th anniversary of Star Wars first hitting theaters in 1977.
Star Wars: The Last Jedi opens Dec. 15.
