PARK CITY — A24 Films has acquired The End of the Tour.
The deal reunites the distributor with director James Ponsoldt, who helmed The Spectacular Now, which premiered at Sundance and was then released by A24 in 2013.

“The End of the Tour was truly a labor of love for everyone involved, and I’m thrilled the film will be in the trustworthy and inspired hands of A24. They were such wonderful partners for The Spectacular Now, and I can’t wait to work with them again,” Ponsoldt said in a statement on Friday.
The End of the Tour is based on a published memoir written by Rolling Stone reporter David Lipsky about his personal five-day interview with Infinite Jest author David Foster Wallace. Jesse Eisenberg stars as interviewer Lipsky, while Jason Segel stars as his subject, Wallace.
