In the debut trailer for the docuseries The Mortified Guide, adults get up onstage to read from their childhood journals, sharing their past insecurities about their nonexistent loves lives, school and maxi pads.
The docuseries is based on the Mortified stage shows, which take place around the country and have been spun off into books and a podcast.
Mike Mayer directed the docuseries, and also executive produced along with Neil Katcher, Frank Mele, Meyer Shwarzstein, Jeffrey Korchek and Mortified creator David Nadelberg.
The Mortified Guide will have its world premiere at the upcoming Sundance Film Festival in the Indie Episodic program, which is debuting at this year’s edition.
The series is set to debut in February on Amazon and Netflix.
