In advance of the Sundance premiere of his dramatic thriller Dark Night, writer-director Tim Sutton has signed with UTA for representation.
The movie, which Sutton wrote and helmed, tracks six separate people in a suburb whose lives coalesce at a cineplex that turns out to be the scene of a mass shooting.
Dark Night, one of several premiering at the film festival that will tackle gun violence, screens Sunday as part of Sundance’s NEXT sidebar.
Sutton’s previous pic Memphis premiered in Venice and Sundance in 2014.
The filmmaker also recently signed with Cinetic’s newly formed management division; Cinetic is also repping the domestic rights of Dark Night.
At UTA, Suton will be repped by Mike Esola. He continues to be repped by attorneys Jonathan Gray and Andre Des Rochers.
