Terrence Howard, Mike Epps and Paula Patton will star in .38, a crime thriller to be directed by Michael Carney.
Armory Films’ Tim Zajaros and Christopher R. Lemole, who were involved in the making of Sundance sensation Mudbound, is producing Anita Gou and Matthew Malek of Foxtail Entertainment. David Guillod and Mark Burg from Primary Wave Entertainment are also producing.
The thriller is expected to begin shooting in May in Thomasville, Ga.
Described as a sort of End of Watch-meets-Crash, .38 tracks a rookie cop on the mean streets of St. Louis as he spends his first night on the job and, after a brutal killing occurs, sees up close the bonds of loyalty, work and family that bind together the cops, both black and white.
