The 355 dropped its first trailer and the action and suspense were eye-popping. Nearly three minutes long, the first look at the globe-trotting spy-thriller showcased the all-female, all-star cast made up of Jessica Chastain, Lupita Nyong’o, Penélope Cruz, Diane Kruger and Fan Bingbing. The Universal film also stars Sebastian Stan and Edgar Ramírez.
The plot revolves around a top-notch group of international rival agents who must work together in order to stop a plot to bring about World War III; the trailer featuring themes of James Bond, Mission Impossible and the Bourne series.
Directed by Simon Kinberg, the screenplay was written by Kinberg and Theresa Rebeck. The film is produced by Chastain and Kelly Carmichael for Chastain’s Freckle Films and by Kinberg for his Genre Films. The film is executive produced by Richard Hewitt.
For the moment, The 355 is scheduled to be released on Jan. 15, 2021.
