Daniel Radcliffe has visited the set of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, but don’t expect him to tell you what to expect in the new movie.
“I can tell you nothing,” Radcliffe said during an appearance on TNT’s Conan. “Nothing. Also, that’s because I don’t really know anything. I was going around going, ‘oh, this is fantastic’… It’s so cool. It really is.”
Something about his visit to the set that he could share was talking to Harrison Ford and director J.J. Abrams. “It might have been on the Millennium Falcon, which was really cool,” he teased. “I did admit to J.J. Abrams and Harrison Ford that I’d only recently seen [the original movies], and J.J. Abrams looked at me like I had grown another head.”
Ford defended the gap in Radcliffe’s fandom, he said. “He has — I think he was saying it was one of his daughters, maybe, might not have seen them or something like that, which made me feel a lot better in that moment. I said it in a really jokey [way], ‘I’ve only seen them recently!’ and immediately sort of thought, that might have gone… wrong.”
The Harry Potter and Horns actor went on to say that “the overwhelming atmosphere of the set is so excited. For Harrison Ford to be so excited about the new ones, I think is an amazing sign.”
