T.J. Miller is in final negotiations to join Underwater, Fox and Chernin’s action-thriller.
Kristen Stewart is attached to the film, which follows a crew of underwater researchers who must scramble to safety after an earthquake devastates their subterranean laboratory.
William Eubank (The Signal) will direct from a script by Brian Duffield (Insurgent, Jane Got a Gun).
Peter Chernin, Jenno Topping and Tonia Davis are producing, while Kevin Holloran is executive producing. A March production start in New Orleans is being eyed.
Miller was most recently seen in Office Christmas Party and Deadpool, opposite Ryan Reynolds. His upcoming films include Stephen Spielberg’s Ready Player One and Goon: Last of the Enforcers. On TV, he stars on HBO’s Silicon Valley and the new series Crashing. Miller is repped by CAA and Jackoway Tyerman.
