Ahead of the July release of Spider-Man: Homecoming, star Tom Holland has already lined up another major franchise.
The British actor is attached to star in Sony’s adaptation of the Uncharted video game from director Shawn Levy.
The movie will not follow the plot of the Naughty Dog game, but will be a prequel that follows protagonist Drake as a young treasure hunter learning the tricks of the thieving trade from his will-be mentor, Sully. The latest script comes from Joe Carnahan.
Avi Arad, Charles Roven, Alex Gartner and Ari Arad are set to produce.
Holland will be reprising his Marvel alter ego in Infinity War and a Homecoming sequel. He is also set to star in The Weinstein Co.’s The Current War and Doug Liman’s Chaos Walking.
He is repped by WME, the U.K.’s Curtis Brown and Sloane Offer.
