Tommy Wiseau made a Joker audition tape — and it is pretty unnerving.
Produced by the Nerdist, the assortment of clips is nearly three minutes long.
Done tongue-in-cheek to help promote the upcoming Blu-ray release of The Disaster Artist, Wiseau — creator and star of the best-worst movie ever made, The Room — dons Joker apparel from the Heath Ledger version of the iconic Batman villain.
Wiseau actually does a pretty great Joker, performing lines from both 2008’s The Dark Knight and 1989’s Batman, in which Jack Nicholson played the role.
And, of course, it wouldn’t be a true Wiseau project without The Room co-star Greg Sestero, who reads for Batman.
The Disaster Artist is out on Blu-ray on Tuesday. James Franco won a Golden Globe for his performance as Wiseau.
Wiseau and Sestero star together in a new film, Best F(r)iends. The black comedy is about a drifter and a quirky mortician who befriend one another. The film is directed by Justin MacGregor with the screenplay by Sestero.
