American Horror Story‘s Emma Roberts and Mad Men‘s Kiernan Shipka have joined the horror project February.
Osgood Perkins, the son of Psycho actor Anthony Perkins, wrote the script and will direct. The story follows two girls whose parents mysteriously fail to retrieve them for winter break at their prep school. As a haunted woman named Joan makes a bloody pilgrimage to the prestigious girls’ school, the stranded duo become plagued by terrifying visions and possessed by an unseen evil force.
The project is produced by Unbroken Pictures’ Adrienne Biddle and Bryan Bertino, and Rob Paris’ Paris Film, Inc.
Highland Film Group is handling international sales on the project, and will introduce it to buyers at the Toronto market in September.
Perkins, who is also an actor, wrote the script for 2013’s Cold Comes the Night. He’s repped by Paradigm.
Roberts starred on the third season of FX’s American Horror Story. In film, she most recently appeared in comedy hit We’re the Millers and indie Palo Alto. She’s repped by CAA and Sweeney Entertainment.
Shipka is best known for starring as Don Draper’s (Jon Hamm) daughter on AMC’s hit show Mad Men. She also appeared in TV’s Flowers in the Attic and indie Very Good Girls. She’s repped by CAA and Sloane, Offer.
