The Tribeca Film Festival has unveiled its television slate, which features the world premieres of Hulu’s The Handmaid’s Tale and NatGeo’s Genius, season debuts of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and Episodes, and a preview of CNN’s Soundtracks: Songs That Defined History, executive produced by Dwayne Johnson.
The festival will also honor Ken Burns with Citizen Filmmaker Award before a special screening of The Vietnam War, Burns’ 10-part, 18-hour doc series airing on PBS in the fall.
Premiere screenings will be followed by dynamic conversations with the projects’ casts and creative. It will also debut three pilots: Black Magic for White Boys, Manic and Lost & Found. The festival runs April 19-30.
