Bad Boys 4 Life has added Vanessa Hudgens, Riverdale star Charles Melton and Alexander Ludwig.
Joining Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, the trio will play a highly specialized police unit that collides with the Bad Boys when a new threat emerges in Miami.
Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah will direct from a script by Chris Bremmer, with earlier drafts by Peter Craig and Joe Carnahan.
Jerry Bruckheimer will produce, along with Doug Belgrad and Smith. Barry Waldman, Mike Stenson, Chad Oman and James Lassiter are executive producers.
The movie is set to begin production next month and is set for a Jan. 17, 2020, release.
Hudgens, who will next be seen in the Jennifer Lopez rom-com Second Act, which bows Friday, and the upcoming Fox TV musical Rent Live, is repped by CAA, Untitled and Ziffren Brittenham. Ludwig, who recently wrapped Roland Emmerich’s Midway, is repped by UTA and Untitled. Melton, who is repped by CAA, Untitled and Gang Tyre, will star in the YA adaptation The Sun Is Also a Star for Warner Bros. and MGM.
