Scott Pilgrim vs. the World is one of the more creative films of the year and one of the ones that actually carries a unique voice.
The movie comes out on Blu-ray Nov. 9 and Universal hosted a sit-down last night between Pilgrim fan Guillermo del Toro and Pilgrim filmmaker Edgar Wright (Michael Cera and Pilgrim creator Bryan Lee O’Malley were also on the panel while Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Satya Bhabha and Johnny Lee Simmons were in the crowd).
Here’s a clip of del Toro and Wright talking about how the Flash Gordon movie and the 1960s Batman TV series influenced the movie and comic book movies.
