Village Roadshow Entertainment Group has tapped Tristen Tuckfield as executive vp feature film.
Tuckfield will work with fellow executive vp feature film Jillian Apfelbaum to co-run Village Roadshow Pictures across all platforms. Tuckfield’s financing, packaging and distribution experience will complement Apfelbaum’s creative and production experience to grow the company’s slate of original IP.
Veteran producer Apfelbaum joined Village Roadshow in late 2018 as executive vp content, responsible for developing both film projects and growing the company’s TV and digital business.
As an executive at 30West, Tuckfield oversaw financing and packaging of scripted and unscripted films and TV properties. She was also an agent in CAA’s Media Finance division where she was involved in sales of more than 100 films. Tuckfield also served as vp acquisitions for Millennium Entertainment and director of acquisitions and development for Samuel Goldwyn Films.
Both Tuckfield and Apfelbaum will report directly to Village Roadshow Entertainment Group CEO Steve Mosko. “I know that Tristen will pair perfectly with Jillian to create an opportunity for a dynamic, forward-thinking partnership as we continue to expand our film division,” said Mosko in a statement.
Mosko has looked to bolster Village Roadshow’s development and production of content with a growing focus on TV, streaming and other emerging distribution platforms as a complement to its business of developing and co-financing feature films.
