Will Eubank - H 2014
AP Images/InvisionWarner Bros. has picked up World Breaker, a new project from Will Eubank, the filmmaker behind sci-fi thriller The Signal.
Eubank wrote the script with British scribe Phil Gawthorne and is also attached to direct.
Brian Kavanaugh-Jones, who produced The Signal along with Tyler Davidson, will produce World Breaker with Ben Pugh and Rory Aitken. Joseph Vicenti and Joshua Horsfield are on board to executive produce.
The story is described as a two-hander with tones of 300 and Braveheart as it tells of a mythical Scottish warlord and his sons withstanding a massive castle siege launched by the ruthless commander of an invading army.
The project went out last week and also drew interest from Universal and Fox.
Drew Crevello and Julia Spiro are overseeing for Warner Bros.
The Signal starred Brenton Thwaites, Olivia Cook and Laurence Fishburne and told of hackers who are fused with alien technology. The low-budget flick, which premiered at Sundance, was released by Focus in June.
Eubank is repped by CAA and Anonymous Content. Gawthorne is repped by CAA and 42 Management.
