Oscar-winning composer Alexandre Desplat brought The Secret Life of Pets to life on Friday.
Heat Vision has an exclusive look at Desplat conducting the world premiere of part of the score live at the Vienna Concert Hall, where the French composer was honored by the city of Vienna during its Hollywood in Vienna gala concert.
The ORF Radio-Symphonieorchestra Vienna and conductor Keith Lockhart took the audience through some of Desplat’s finest themes, including “The Grand Budapest Hotel,” “The Imitation Game,” “Argo,” and “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows.” And in the video below, Desplat conducts them in “Meet the Pets” from The Secret Life of Pets.
The evening, which saw the composer honored with the Max Steiner Film Music Achievement Award, was a production of Interspot in cooperation with Tomek Productions and UNITEL CLASSICA.
Desplat recently was set to score Luc Besson’s anticipated sci-fi epic Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets.
