A new two-minute clip of Big Hero 6 debuted during Tuesday night’s ABC special, The Story of Frozen: Making a Disney Animated Classic, and it reveals how robotics prodigy Hiro Hamada came to accidentally summon Baymax the first time: a stubbed toe.
“Hello, I am Baymax, your personal health care companion,” says the robot, clearly still active, despite having trouble walking around in such close quarters. “I heard a sound of distress. What seems to be the trouble?”
After sharing that he stubbed his toe, Hiro is then asked by the robot to rate his pain stemming from the accident.
“It is all right to cry. Crying is a natural response to pain,” notes Baymax before treating Hiro to a full body scan for injuries. While none are of note, a hormone-level issue is worth mentioning. “Diagnosis: puberty.”
The Disney film, adapted from the Marvel comic of the same name, is directed by Don Hall and Chris Williams and features a voice cast including Ryan Potter, Scott Adsit, T.J. Miller, Jamie Chung, Damon Wayans Jr., Genesis Rodriguez, Daniel Henney, Maya Rudolph, James Cromwell and Alan Tudyk.
